I chatted with Withly Desamour (in Haiti) this afternoon. He told me that his family on the Plateau was attacked by bandits. The bandits burned their house down and burned a couple of his brothers and sisters. The family is left with no clothes or food. Seven of his family members were able to get a ride to Port-Au-Prince to live with Withly. Therefore, there are now 8 people living in the small room that Withly rents. The only source of income the family has (had) is to make charcoal to sell. Now they have nothing, and need medical attention, and have no way to support themselves.
